Meet my main retouching assistant…his name is Charlie, he is a PomChi and was born 30.10.2016, he’s not very helpful with Photoshop, but he does give pretty good cuddles and he makes me laugh a lot throughout the day. I got Charlie from Last Chance Animal Rescue last November, they rescued him because he was due to be euthanised at the Welsh pound, he’s now in his forever home.

I am a huge animal lover, particularly dogs…I think they are absolutely amazing animals, so intelligent and tuned in. Whenever I am feeling a little down or poorly, Charlie always knows and he tries to make me feel better, he tries comforting me by sitting with me and giving me lots of cuddles.
When I was growing up we had two dogs, Sadie and Poppy, they were absolutely amazing and I miss them so much! Sadie passed away in January 2017 (she was 17 years old, bless her). I didn’t plan on getting another dog, purely because of the heartbreak from losing Sadie and Poppy, but once you have a dog in your home…and you suddenly have to live without one, it’s a horrible feeling. The house just doesn’t feel the same anymore, they bring such joy and love to the home, so eventually Mum and I decided to look for another one.
We walked around lots of different rescue centres and I admit, I wanted to help all of the animals, but the second I saw Charlie…I knew he was the one! He looked so scared and alone in the kennel and when I approached him, he ran over to me with his tail wagging and he suddenly looked so happy, he is perfect. He settled in the second he arrived at our house.
Nothing will ever take away the feeling of grief from losing Sadie and Poppy, but I am so grateful that I found Charlie and that I am able to give him such a loving home, I absolutely adore him. He’s so happy and loved by everyone, my models love him too! 🙂
Here are a few photos of Charlie that I have taken:

If you are thinking of getting a dog in the future, please think before buying a puppy from a breeder…remember there are millions of dogs needing homes in rescue centres, I highly recommend Last Chance Animal Rescue.
